I’m not a dessert guy, yet this past month I have had several servings of humble pie.
- Printed workbooks with spelling mistakes (oh right it’s, “i” before “e” EXCEPT after “c” 😒)
- Sent a proposal with the wrong budget total (note to self; when adding rows to excel make sure the formula captures the new rows 😩).
- Off the heals of a successful leadership development program, cohort#2 kicked off riddled technical issues leading to a lot of raised eyebrows by participants (what do you mean turning everything off doesn’t fix all I.T. issues 🤬).
- At the leadership offsite I apologized to the client for breaking our Team Contract (it’s about them Sean, not about you 🤦♂️).
While the first few bites don’t taste good going down, humble pie is necessary to eat if you want to grow and get better.
(But seriously I could go a week without a piece, I’d be fine with that too 🙃)
